Family programming
To support the growth of the whole child, Inspired Child takes a three-pronged approach to our programs—serving children, classroom teachers, and families alike. Our family programming is offered at childcare centers, schools, community organizations, and at our own home location. Explore the full range of our family program options below.
Family Arts Series
Join us for a joyful, interactive music, movement, and visual art series where the whole family can sing, dance and create art together!
Through songs, creative movement, and visual art, children develop motor skills, self-expression and appreciation of the arts – all while bonding with their caregivers and family members.

Two-gen arts
Inspired Child’s Two-Gen Arts program provides arts-based education for parents with children enrolled in childcare centers. The program includes engaging arts-based workshops that parents and children will participate in together, which will not only support the children’s cognitive and physical development but which will also address the social-emotional needs of both parents and children and foster deeper bonds between them.
In addition to the Parent & Me workshops with teaching artists, Inspired Child will also offer workshops for parents on why the arts are so essential for early brain development and accessible ways they can use the arts to have joyful experiences with their children that also help prepare them for success in kindergarten and beyond.

Read With Me™
Fewer than half of American children (47.8%) between birth and five years are read to every day by their parents, according to Reach Out and Read National Center. Inspired Child’s family literacy program, Read With Me™, helps parents become actively involved in their children’s literacy and learning.
Literacy trainers and teaching artists show parents fun ways they can create literacy experiences at home so learning continues beyond the school day. These early childhood family workshops give parents and children memorable opportunities to sing, dance and make art together. Inspired Child provides on-site workshops during evening and weekend hours in an informal, relaxed session that includes lunch or dinner, and families are given high-quality books they can take home and read together.
Many of our family workshops are supported by our generous donors, please inquire.
